Interview with Ilaria Butera

Today, marketing and event planning are sectors that require cross-functional skills and constant updates due to the decisive role they play in the launch and positioning of a brand. At Tenute Navarra, this is exactly what you do; can you share something about your strategies and goals?

Marketing applied to event planning now plays a decisive strategic role, not only in the launch but also in the positioning of the brand.

We love to meticulously attend to every single detail, even the most imperceptible ones, and aim to implement every action that seeks to increase our brand awareness.

When we organize or participate in events, we want the “Navarra style” to be felt, and we strive to understand the ever-evolving needs, behaviors, and requirements of our target audience to create experiences that are always diverse and engaging.

How did you get involved in the world of wine?

I adore art, history, nature, and exploration, and wine is a blend of centuries-old traditions—an intense immersion into diverse territories to be discovered gently through a sensory and subjective experience, where every observation is always relevant and welcome.

A journey to discover aromas, tastes, and scents that often evoke sensations, emotions, and feelings.

I also became passionate about the culinary experience, which, upon reflection, takes up a large part of our lives; when paired with wine, it manages to enhance every hidden note. I have also had the opportunity to experience the aspects of sharing and socialization that revolve around wine and the pleasure of being together.

Being so young and being part of a very young team, what does that represent for you? How would you describe Generation Z in marketing?

Being young and part of a very young team is a great stimulus and often a challenge. We seek authenticity, engagement, experiences, attention, smart content, and immediacy.

Which Tenute Navarra wine are you most attached to and why?

The Tenute Navarra wine I am most attached to is Disiata, a tribute to elegance and refinement. In Disiata—the “desired one” that pairs with Disiato—I love perceiving its bouquet of scents, at times floral and at others fruity, and its unmistakable savory freshness. I like to think of our first rosé as a tribute to simplicity and delicacy
