At Vinitaly USA – Chicago 2025, we proudly presented our Maribu 2023 – Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, an ambassador of a unique territory, during one of the event’s most significant masterclasses: “Sicilia: a continent of terroirs”, led by Sara Tosti, in the presence of fifteen selected international operators.
Together with Coldiretti and Filiera Italia, in an exhibition space designed to promote Italian agri-food excellence, we had the opportunity to share our vision of wine as an authentic expression of a place, a history, and a culture.
The Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG is Sicily’s only Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita. It is an elegant, vibrant, and strongly identity-driven wine, born from the union of Nero d’Avola and Frappato: two indigenous varieties that, together, create a red wine of great balance between structure and freshness. Our Maribu 2023 originates precisely from this harmony: Nero d’Avola provides body and depth, while Frappato brings floral and fruity aromas, an agile drinkability, and an unmistakable Mediterranean touch. It is a wine that speaks of sun, wind, red clays, and light sands; it tells the story of our part of Sicily—we are the only producers in our area—without the need for many words.

Bringing our Maribu to Chicago was like offering an authentic fragment of our land to those who do not yet truly know it. Being present at Vinitaly USA is not merely a commercial matter.”
It is a concrete opportunity to build cultural and professional bridges, to engage with complex markets and discerning operators, and to understand how our Sicily is perceived beyond national borders.

We had authentic moments of discussion and tasting, where wine was at the heart of genuine relationships. And this is what we want to continue to build.”
Our work continues, amidst vineyards, cellars, travels, and meetings. But every time a glass of Maribu is carefully tasted, we feel that our story reaches a little further. And Sicily, once again, finds its place in the world.
