Vision and entrepreneurial capability, context analysis and activity planning, commitment and passion. This is the blend that has always characterized the work of the Navarra Family in every activity and project undertaken.
With Tenute Navarra, the dream of founder Totò Navarra has come to fruition: today, in all the company’s activities, not only his son Salvatore but also his grandson Totò Navarra Junior are involved.
Tenute Navarra extends across the territory of Southwest Sicily, uniting the three municipalities of Butera, Riesi, and Mazzarino, with approximately 175 hectares of land cultivated with vineyards, olive groves, almond groves, pistachio groves, wheat, and horticultural products.
In recent years, the necessary interventions for the care of the vineyards, olive groves, and all structures in general have been carried out. Currently, the launch of the extra virgin olive oil and Battichiè, the Nero d’Avola DOC Riserva del Fondatore wine from the 2019 harvest, is underway.
The redevelopment work at the Estates continues relentlessly, new wine references are ready to be introduced to the market, everything is proceeding as planned.

The enthusiasm and great motivation are evident in the words of Salvatore Navarra:
“Every day we approach our work with pride and satisfaction – says Salvatore Navarra, Business Relationship Manager of Tenute Navarra – our three generations pass down values, lifestyles, and a work method, making it a consolidated modus operandi that we believe to be high-performing and productive. But we are always ready for change because we invest heavily in research and innovation.
My father, along with our entire family, lived and worked for many years in England, in Woking near London, where he founded a company with a core business in gardening and green space maintenance. This aspect profoundly and positively marked our lives, our way of doing things, and our relationships. Anglo-Saxon culture is orderly, meticulous, and attentive to the care and execution of every daily and work activity.
After our return to Italy, thanks to my father’s intuition, a cleaning and facility management company was founded. Since 2019, he decided to invest in and grow Tenute Navarra, realizing his lifelong dream: to work in his homeland and dedicate himself to cultivating and producing nature’s bounty.
Our family, united as always, decided to follow and support him on this new “journey” called Tenute Navarra. And I, after many years of professional life spent following the frantic pace of business, decided to dedicate myself exclusively to the Tenute Navarra project, letting nature dictate the rhythm of my life.
Our project today? With the production of extra virgin olive oil and, above all, with the market positioning of our flagship wine – the Nero d’Avola Battichiè (editor’s note) – which slightly precedes the launch of other wines, we are creating the conditions to consolidate the work done so far and building solid foundations for future activities.
Among these is the creation of a structure dedicated to welcoming guests who choose to experience a unique and engaging stay. Immersed in nature, in contact with the wonders that only our land can offer.
Ours is a “sustainable” project, in line with the 17 goals set by the United Nations 2030 agenda. We are performing every activity consistently with UN directives, not only in terms of managing and protecting environmental heritage but also regarding financial management, corporate governance, and social responsibility.
To date, in addition to Operations, which coordinates construction work and specialized interventions in grape, olive, and almond cultivation, we are strengthening the company management, which consists of Sales, Marketing and Communication, Administration, and General Secretariat.
We are confident – concludes Salvatore Navarra – that by working with commitment and determination, we can achieve excellent results, especially because we feel a great responsibility to contribute to exporting the excellences of our territory to the world.”
