June was dedicated to the careful management of the vineyard soil and its rows. Our expert winemakers performed the customary vineyard cleaning, which involves mowing the grass beneath the vines and tilling the surrounding soil. This activity allows the grape clusters to complete their ripening before being carefully harvested during the vintage to offer us the very best Mediterranean flavors and aromas.
We then move to another typical Sicilian crop, the almond grove, which is meticulously tended. A support stake is applied to the young plants to ensure they grow strong and develop vertically. The result is a robust, lush tree bearing exceptional fruit, ready to be used in high-quality products.

Mazzarino, one of the municipalities neighboring Tenute Navarra, embodies the perfect harmony between the contemporary and the history typical of Mediterranean locales. The fascinating “Monte Formaggio” is immersed in pristine vegetation, featuring a one-of-a-kind peak. The imposing Mother Church, dedicated to “Santa Maria della Neve,” preserves the Baroque style of past eras. Finally, the Castle, known as “U Cannuni” for its cylindrical tower, stands as a symbol of the city and a testament to the legendary history tied to our land.
