An autumn of awards, recognition, and participation in national and international events for Tenute Navarra.
Tenute Navarra debuts at the Merano Wine Festival 2023, presenting from November 4 to 6 at the collective area managed by the event’s sommelier the Battichiè – Nero d’Avola Riserva SICILIA DOC 2019, which received the WineHunter RED award, a prize also won by Disiato 2022 and Scurò 2021. On November 6, the winery will also be present at the International Gourmet Food Montreal.
The Butera-based farm has also been selected by the I Vini di Veronelli Gold Guide for the 2024 Italian and English print and digital editions.
Tenute Navarra is preparing for an autumn rich in awards, recognition, and participation in national and international events. Specifically, from November 4 to 6, it will participate for the first time in the Merano WineFestival, an event that for over forty years has brought together national and international excellence in the food and wine sector. At the collective area managed by the event’s sommeliers, it will be possible to taste the Battichiè – Nero d’Avola Riserva SICILIA DOC 2019, a wine that received the WineHunter RED award, along with Disiato 2022 and Scurò 2021. These awards add to the many achieved during 2023, including: the Gold Label at the Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition; the Silver medal at the Frankfurt International Trophy; the Bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards; recognition at the Falstaff Trophy Sizilien; and the WineHunter diplomas of excellence and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
Among the latest honors is the inclusion in the print version and the two digital versions (Italian and English) of the 2024 edition of the I Vini di Veronelli Gold Guide. The ratings assigned to the wines will be announced during the official presentation to be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Sala Pizzetti, part of the Paganini congress complex, within the Primo Maggio park (formerly Eridania) in the Municipality of Parma. During the event, the ten companies awarded the “Sole” (Sun)—special prizes from the Editorial Staff—will be honored, along with the five producers of the “Best Tastings,” the five wines (one per type) that achieved the highest score out of 100 among the nearly 16,000 samples reviewed.
Simultaneously with its participation in the Merano Wine Festival, Tenute Navarra will also be present on November 6 at the International Gourmet Food Montréal. The objective of this initiative, now in its fifth edition, is to “open” the Canadian market to Italian companies. This year, for the first time, Divine Eccellenze Products, in collaboration with ItalianLand, decided to organize an event dedicated to wineries. The “IGFM WINE” event will be held at Casa d’Italia in the Little Italy district of Montréal. The one-day event will be aimed at industry professionals, restaurateurs, wine lovers, wine sector entrepreneurs, and hotel chain buyers. It will be a long day dedicated to tasting Italian excellence, where companies will have the opportunity to showcase their products and connect with potential clients, supported by an import company that has operated in Canada for nearly 30 years.
