Our Story at Sicilia en Primeur: A Family Dream That Speaks to the Future
Participating in the 21st edition of Sicilia en Primeur in Modica felt like closing one chapter and, at the same time, opening another. At an event that celebrates Sicilian wine as a cultural heritage, a tool for sustainability, and a lever for innovation, we had the honor of bringing our story, that of Tenute Navarra, into a collective dialogue rooted in tradition, vision, and identity.
Against the baroque backdrop of the city and amidst the hills of southern Sicily, we shared who we are: an intergenerational project born from my grandfather Totò Sr.’s dream, now a vibrant reality thanks to the shared energy of our Family.
Among the new vintages presented, our Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG was the absolute protagonist. It is our pride, a unique wine born on poor calcareous soils, suspended between the sea and the hills, with a finer and more mineral profile compared to the more classic version. For us, it is the perfect example of how one can innovate while remaining faithful to tradition. Of how wine can evolve without losing its sense of belonging.
But Sicilia en Primeur was not just a stage for our Cerasuolo: it was also an opportunity to reaffirm what we believe in. We cultivate 175 hectares using certified organic methods and are committed every day to generating shared value. Thanks to the Sustainability Impact Rating, we monitor our impact, aware that every choice in the vineyard and cellar also speaks to the future we want to build.
We brought our three wine souls to Modica: the Art Line, where wine becomes emotion and aesthetic narrative; the Premium Line, the heart of our excellence; and the Fun Line, light, young, and convivial. Three different ways of experiencing wine, with one single intent: to tell the story of Sicily in all its beauty and complexity.
For us, participating in Sicilia en Primeur means much more than just being there. It means sharing our vision with the world, giving voice to a Family dream, and feeling like an active part of a Sicilian wine industry that knows how to be contemporary without forgetting its soul. We leave Modica with gratitude and pride, ready to continue on our path: one that unites past and future, territory and people, culture and sustainability.
