Strengthening expertise, analyzing the sector, and establishing new productive relationships: these were the objectives for the Tenute Navarra management team during their presence at Vinitaly 2022.
Workshops, conferences, and thematic roundtables provided an opportunity to delve into strategic topics such as sustainability, digital innovation in the wine sector, organic farming, and wine tourism to support producers and local territories.
Vinitaly 2002, the international wine and spirits exhibition, brought together over 4,400 companies from 20 nations and 750 accredited foreign buyers for its 54th edition at Veronafiere.
“Participating in Vinitaly 2022 was an important opportunity to strengthen our expertise, states Mattia Piampiano, Business Developer for Tenute Navarra.

We participated in numerous workshops covering topics with specific focuses on corporate sustainability, territorial enhancement, technological innovation, and digital communication. Several strategic partnerships were activated that will allow the Marketing and Sales Department to consolidate brand awareness activities and the positioning of our products in the market, with a particular focus on exports.
“We are truly very satisfied with this educational and networking experience – concludes Mattia Piampiano – we look forward to Vinitaly 2023.”

Some of the key data emerging from Vinitaly 2022:
• In the last year, 89% of Italians drank wine—a figure that has grown compared to 3 years ago—primarily due to a surge in the young adult audience: consumers in the 18-41 age group have increased from 84% to 90% of the total.
• The approval rating for organic and sustainable wines has risen, ranking first among products identified with the highest growth potential in the coming years, with 27% of preferences.
• Focus on North America: last year, 600 million bottles of Italian wine were shipped to the US and Canada, representing a value of $2.7 billion in revenue and a 17% growth over 2020.

“For Tenute Navarra, it was a very productive presence – declared Salvatore Navarra, Business Relationship Manager for Tenute Navarra – especially in terms of new relationships and sector research. We are firmly convinced that our territory expresses great potential, not only in terms of production but also in terms of appeal in foreign wine and wine tourism markets.
“Our goal is to combine this potential with an innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial vision that can contribute to the growth of the entire Sicilian and Mediterranean economic system.”
