The Guide to Sicilian Wines 2025 is here!
AIS Sicilia opens 2025 with its first event of the year, dedicated to the presentation of the Guide to Sicilian Wines 2025, the most significant overview of Sicilian enology.
This year, the event will take place in Ragusa, at the Poggio del Sole Resort, a place of extraordinary beauty that represents the DOCG Cerasuolo di Vittoria area and other wine excellences.
To enrich the experience, the event includes two days of activities at three different wineries in the Ragusa area, featuring three thematic Masterclasses.
Tenute Navarra will actively participate in the event, not only with a tasting counter on Saturday, January 25, in the Sala Maestrale of the Poggio del Sole Resort, but also with two Masterclasses: the first on Friday, January 24, titled “The Sparkling Wines of the Iblean Territory” and the second on Saturday, January 25, on “The Territories of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG”. The wines presented will be Rosemosse 2023 – Spumante Extra Brut Frappato Rosato Terre Siciliane IGP and Maribu 2022 – Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG.
The Masterclasses will be led by authoritative AIS sommeliers, including Francesco Baldacchino, President of AIS Sicilia, Orazio Di Maria, the Regional Representative for the AIS Sicilia Guide, and Fabio Gulino, AIS Ragusa Delegate.
The program also includes masterful conferences and roundtables; among these, the Butera farm will participate, on Saturday, January 25, at 10:00 AM, in the conference “Present and Future of Cerasuolo di Vittoria”, a roundtable moderated by Luigi Salvo – Head of AIS Sicilia Tasters and AIS Palermo Delegate – which will see the presence of Institutions, Representatives of AIS Sicilia, Representatives of the Protection Consortium, and the South East Sicily Regional Wine Shop.
This will be an opportunity to delve into topics concerning the only Sicilian DOCG.
A culminating moment will be the award ceremony for the wine Battichiè – Riserva del Fondatore 2020 by TOTÒNAVARRA, which received the prestigious “QUATTRO VITI” (Four Vines) recognition in the eleventh edition of Vitae La Guida Vini, published by the Italian Sommelier Association, on January 25 at the Church of San Vincenzo Ferreri in Ragusa Ibla.
